Deposit & Permit Terms

An initial non-refundable deposit of USD $200.00 per person is required to purchase your official Inca Trail permit with the Peruvian Ministry of Culture. Under strict government regulations, permits are non-refundable, non-transferable, and cannot be changed to another date or passenger once issued.

The remaining balance can be paid online prior to arrival or in our Cusco office during your pre-trek briefing in cash (USD or Peruvian Soles) or by credit card (+5% gateway processing fee).

Cancellation & Flexibility Policy

Because Inca Trail permits are purchased immediately and are non-refundable by government law, deposit payments cannot be returned in the event of cancellation. For the remaining tour balance, cancellations made 30 days or more prior to departure are eligible for a partial refund or credit voucher. We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance covering trip cancellation and medical emergencies.

Essential Pre-Booking Checklist

  • Passport Validity: Must have at least 6 months validity remaining from your travel date.
  • Student Discount: University students under 25 require a valid physical university student card.
  • Cusco Acclimatization: We strongly recommend arriving in Cusco 2 days prior to your trek departure.
  • Travel Insurance: High-altitude travel insurance covering trekking up to 4,200m is required.
